In anticipation of the expansion of the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service to include emergency contraception, NHS England will publish updated service specifications and patient group directions (PGDs) on Monday 20 October 2025.
These service specifications and PGDs are not valid until the service commencement date for these enhancements is announced and authorised by NHS England. Contractors can find the old service documents on this page.
