From April (for prescriptions dispensed in March 2022) all pharmacy contractors must submit their FP34C through the Manage Your Service (MYS) portal.
The change was announced in the September 2021 Drug Tariff. It means that, from April (for prescriptions dispensed in March 2022), all pharmacy contractors must submit their FP34C in MYS, then print and enclose it with their batch submission. Failure to do so could delay processing and payment.
The last paper FP34C will be sent to contractors in February (for prescriptions dispensed in February 2022 and submitted in March 2022).
Accessing the FP34C through MYS is a much more efficient way for pharmacies to complete their submissions. MYS automatically flags any potential anomalies in a contractors’ submission, so they can ensure their information is accurate before completing it.
Pharmacy contractors can already submit, download and print their FP34C through MYS. Nearly 9,000 pharmacy contractors declared their FP34C submission figures through MYS in December, benefitting from earlier advance payments in January this year.
See the pharmacy submission timetable for more information about submission and payment dates.
Pharmacy payment timetable
A new advance payment timetable has been introduced for all pharmacy contractors in England. This means contractors will receive payment approximately 20 days earlier in comparison to the previous payment timetable. To receive an advance payment, contractors must:
-
submit an FP34C through MYS by the 5th of the following month in which the supply was made
-
submit electronic reimbursement endorsement messages by the 5th of the following month in which the supply was made
-
continue to send batches, with the printed FP34C from MYS, to the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) by the 5th of the following month in which the supply was made
Any contractor who does not submit via MYS will not be entitled to receive an advance payment.
For more information on advance payment dates, read the September 2021 Drug Tariff.
