A Foundation Dentist (FD) report monitors the performance of an FD on a contract.
The report was produced following a request from the Committee Of Postgraduate Dental Deans & Directors UK (COPDEND), received by the Chief Dental Officer. The report helps to identify which treatments were being carried out by FDs. This is needed to make sure that FDs are delivering an appropriate mixture of treatment during their training period.
The report is produced monthly. It’s based on the activity that has been scheduled through the NHS Dental Services systems for the period shown at the top of the report.
The FD Report covers all contracts where payments or FP17s have been processed during the reporting period, regardless of status.
The report includes all FDs who have had scheduled activity with a treatment acceptance date, since 1 April of the previous financial year.
Instructions on how to access the DAF reports on Compass can be found on our Compass guidance and tutorials page. The report name is, ‘VDPRPT’ – FD Report.
