This is an announcement on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.
The Community Pharmacy New Medicine Service (NMS) will expand to include depression as an eligible condition.
The NMS service specification and eligible drug list have been updated to allow for this expansion as well as other updates to the service. These documents will be published in their final versions by NHS England (NHSE) in due course, who will indicate when contractors should start using these updated documents and when depression will be included as an eligible condition.
