COVID-19 vaccination payment for primary care providers

GP practices will be grouped under a PCN.  

Each PCN grouping will nominate a lead practice, who will submit and validate a monthly claim on behalf of the group via the MYS portal. Two representatives from this lead practice will be given access to the portal using their nhs.net login credentials. We will set this up for you and email you with information on how to log in. 

The lead practice will also be responsible for receiving all payments for their PCN group and distributing payments to the other practices.

If you’re the lead practice, your NHSEI regional team will contact you and ask you to nominate your two representatives. We’ll then contact your representatives to give them log-in details for MYS. 

NHSEI is encouraging community pharmacies to collaborate with their local PCN and support them to deliver maximum vaccine uptake.  

NHSEI will commission a COVID-19 vaccination service directly from a community pharmacy where: 

• there is a local need (for example where there is a gap in service provision or need for additional capacity)  

• pharmacy contractors meet the key designation requirements 

You should claim payment for this service each month via the MYS portal. Claims will show on payment schedules under the COVID Vaccine header.
