Release of dm+d files

dm+d and its supporting files and information are released through TRUD (Technology Reference Update Distribution). TRUD is hosted by NHS England and provides the distribution and licensing mechanism for NHS terminologies (including dm+d).

dm+d subpacks

We publish a weekly dm+d subpack, including

• dm+d TRUD release schedule - a description of TRUD release ID, extraction date, distribution date and week number
• dm+d in XML format - this also includes a mapping file between AMPP and GTIN
• historic code data file - this contains the full history of current, previous and lost codes for dm+d class concepts that might change

We also publish an NHSBSA dm+d supplementary subpack which contains dm+d supplementary XML files.

Terminology Server

The Terminology Server is a FHIR® compliant solution that holds and disseminates assured international terminologies and classifications (such as SNOMED CT and ICD-10) and terminologies mandated for use in England, including dm+d.

There is also a syndication feed (API) which enables content to be syndicated across a group of terminology servers. This allows you to share your own terminologies with others.
